A bright, cheerful celebration cake without the fuss. Choose a chocolate or vanilla cake, finished with piped rainbow buttercream in bright or pastel shades.
Perfect for birthdays, children’s parties, office treats, Pride celebrations, family occasions and gifting.

• Small – approximately 15 cm × 20 cm, serves up to 12
• Large – approximately 30 cm × 20 cm, serves up to 24
Make It Yours
Choose your rainbow style and leave any additional requests in the notes at checkout. You can also request a colour for the flat base or top section of the cake.
Add a complimentary single candle if required.
Pickup is available from our Lower Hutt store, or choose delivery throughout Wellington. Please order online with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Please Note
Cake in a Box is part of our set cake range and is not a fully custom-designed cake. We will do our best to match your selected colours, but each rainbow design is handmade and may vary slightly.
Custom cake toppers are available in either edible fondant or non-edible cardstock. Cardstock toppers must be removed before cutting. All other decorations are edible.
Cake in a Box is not available gluten-free or vegan. However, gluten-free, vegan or gluten-free and vegan cupcakes can be added to your order.

Payment is required at the time of booking.
Pick Up & Delivery
Pickup is available from our Waterloo, Lower Hutt store on your selected date. Wellington-area delivery is available Monday to Saturday.
Delivery Pricing
Delivery is available around the Wellington area on our standard courier for $22.
Rush delivery is available for $40 for Lower Hutt or Wellington CBD only, before 11.30am.
Kapiti and rural delivery is $60, Monday–Friday only. Please note at checkout if your cupcakes are required by a particular time, or contact us if you are unsure if address is rural. Full T&Cs apply.
Gifting
Cakes are beautifully boxed with a clear lid, ribbon and gift card. No receipt is included with gift orders.
Storage
Storage: Best enjoyed on the day of purchase, but will stay fresh for up to 3 days when stored in a cool, dry place.
Serving: Remove from the refrigerator 30–60 minutes before serving for the best flavour and texture.
Dietary & Allergens
Dietary & Allergen Information: Cake in a Box is not available gluten-free or vegan. However, gluten-free or vegan cupcakes can be added to your order in a matching theme. Please place your order online.
Contains: Gluten (wheat), milk, egg and soy.
Our kitchen also handles nuts and other allergens, so we cannot guarantee the cake is free from traces.
