Unlike gel colours, black cocoa won’t stain your teeth and is a fantastic natural alternative for colouring buttercream, fondant, or cake batters.

Ideal for black buttercream, Halloween treats, cookies, and dramatic chocolate cakes. It doesn’t have a strong chocolate flavour like regular cocoa but gives your bakes a striking finish.

⚠️ Baking Tip:
Black cocoa is neutral and won’t react with baking soda. Always use the type of cocoa your recipe calls for—swapping natural cocoa with black cocoa is usually fine, but not the other way around!
